At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.5% compared to 2009, reaching 14.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.7%.

Malta ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.5% (from 13.9% in 2005).
