Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2021, Malta's main national accounts tax aggregates increased by 1.6% compared to 2020, reaching 12.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.1%.

Malta ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.7% (from 14.5% in 2016).
