Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2024, Malta's main national accounts tax aggregates increased by 23.3% compared to 2023, reaching 14.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.2%.

Malta ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.5% (from 13.9% in 2019).
