Population structure indicators at national level

In 2019, Malta's population structure indicators at national level decreased by 0.7% compared to 2018, reaching 40.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 43.7.

Malta ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.0% (from 40.5 in 2014).
