Population structure indicators at national level

In 2025, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.5% compared to 2024, reaching 40.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 44.9.

Malta ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 39.8 in 2020).
