Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1987, Malta's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 3.5% compared to 1986, reaching 5,892.

Malta ranks 24th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 103.6% (from 2,894 in 1982).
