Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1989, Malta's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 5.5% compared to 1988, reaching 6,412.

Malta ranks 24th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.9% (from 5,530 in 1984).
