Population on 1 January by age and sex

In 1982, Malta's population on 1 january by age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 1981, reaching 164,086.

Malta ranks 25th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.9% (from 157,975 in 1977).
