Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2009, Malta's main national accounts tax aggregates increased by 0.6% compared to 2008, reaching 32.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.0%.

Malta ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.1% (from 30.9% in 2004).
