Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2019, Malta's main national accounts tax aggregates decreased by 1.3% compared to 2018, reaching 30.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.8%.

Malta ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.8% (from 31.8% in 2014).
