Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2024, Malta's main national accounts tax aggregates increased by 9.8% compared to 2023, reaching 29.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.2%.

Malta ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.6% (from 30.6% in 2019).
