In 2018, Malta's share of total population living in a dwelling with a leaking roof, damp walls, floors or foundation, or rot in window frames of floor decreased by 15.5% compared to 2017, reaching 7.10.

Malta accounts for 52.2% of the EU-27 total of 13.6.

Malta ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 39.3% (from 11.7 in 2013).
