At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Netherlands's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.7% compared to 2015, reaching 14.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.4%.

Netherlands ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.5% (from 15.5% in 2011).
