Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2013, Netherlands's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 2.3% compared to 2012, reaching 67.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.8%.

Netherlands ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.8% (from 54.3% in 2008).
