In 2021, Netherlands's persons aged 25-64 with at least upper secondary educational attainment level by sex decreased by 0.5% compared to 2020, reaching 80.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 79.1%.

Netherlands ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 77.1% in 2016).
