At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2007, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.2% compared to 2006, reaching 18.1%.

Portugal ranks 9th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.5% (from 20.0% in 2002).
