At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2012, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.7% compared to 2011, reaching 21.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Portugal ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.3% (from 20.9% in 2007).
