At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2009, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.7% compared to 2008, reaching 18.4%.

Portugal ranks 9th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.8% (from 21.6% in 2004).
