At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2009, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.4% compared to 2008, reaching 17.3%.

Portugal ranks 8th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.9% (from 19.2% in 2004).
