Population structure indicators at national level

In 2007, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.1% compared to 2006, reaching 28.7.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 27.9.

Portugal ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.5% (from 27.2 in 2002).
