Population structure indicators at national level

In 2024, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.2% compared to 2023, reaching 41.5.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 37.0.

Portugal ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.8% (from 37.8 in 2019).
