Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1970, Portugal's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 0.8% compared to 1969, reaching 110,950.

Portugal ranks 14th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.5% (from 107,190 in 1965).
