Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2024, Portugal's main national accounts tax aggregates increased by 2.5% compared to 2023, reaching 12.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.0%.

Portugal ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.1% (from 11.8% in 2019).
