Distribution of population by household types - EU-SILC survey

In 2021, Portugal's distribution of population by household types increased by 19.0% compared to 2020, reaching 10.0.

Portugal accounts for 64.9% of the EU-27 total of 15.4.

Portugal ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.3% (from 8.60 in 2016).
