At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.3% compared to 2019, reaching 30.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.4%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.0% (from 38.1% in 2015).
