At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.4% compared to 2019, reaching 25.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.4%.

Italy ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.3% (from 26.8% in 2015).
