At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2017, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.8% compared to 2016, reaching 24.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Romania ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.1% (from 22.8% in 2012).
