Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2012, Romania's population change increased by 3.1% compared to 2011, reaching 10.0.

The figure is in line with the EU-27 average of 10.0.

Romania ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.9% (from 10.3 in 2007).
