In 2024, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty threshold increased by 17.5% compared to 2023, reaching 15,628.

Romania ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 77.5% (from 8,806 in 2019).
