In 2025, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty threshold decreased by 1.2% compared to 2024, reaching 15,434.

Romania ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 66.5% (from 9,268 in 2020).
