Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2025, Romania's unemployment by sex and age increased by 9.2% compared to 2024, reaching 26.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.2%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.8% (from 21.6% in 2020).
