In 2016, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.5% compared to 2015, reaching 20.8%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.4%.
Slovakia ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.9% (from 21.2% in 2011).
