Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1980, Slovakia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 4.8% compared to 1979, reaching 72,477.

Slovakia ranks 17th out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.4% (from 56,438 in 1975).
