Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1982, Slovakia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 4.6% compared to 1981, reaching 80,780.

Slovakia ranks 16th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.5% (from 62,884 in 1977).
