In 2021, Slovakia's children (aged less than 18) at risk of poverty or social exclusion increased by 7.1% compared to 2020, reaching 59.1.

Slovakia accounts for 80.4% of the EU-27 total of 73.5.

Slovakia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.6% (from 73.5 in 2016).
