In 2019, Slovakia's net occupancy rate of bed-places and bedrooms in hotels and similar accommodation (NACE rev. 2, i, 55.1) (from 2012 onwards) increased by 5.7% compared to 2018, reaching 36.2.

Slovakia accounts for 72.5% of the EU-27 total of 49.9.

Slovakia ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 32.9% (from 27.2 in 2014).
