In 2019, Hungary's net occupancy rate of bed-places and bedrooms in hotels and similar accommodation (NACE rev. 2, i, 55.1) (from 2012 onwards) increased by 1.0% compared to 2018, reaching 41.9.

Hungary accounts for 84.1% of the EU-27 total of 49.9.

Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.7% (from 35.0 in 2014).
