In 2007, Slovenia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.0% compared to 2006, reaching 12.9%.

Slovenia ranks 20th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.3% (from 11.0% in 2002).
