Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2021, Slovenia's population change increased by 1.1% compared to 2020, reaching 9.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.2.

Slovenia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.1% (from 9.9 in 2016).
