In 2013, Spain's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 3.5% compared to 2012, reaching 201,064.

Spain ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.8% (from 167,877 in 2008).
