In 2021, Spain's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 16.2% compared to 2020, reaching 144,594.

Spain ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 28.4% (from 202,087 in 2016).
