In 2021, France's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 0.5% compared to 2020, reaching 1,180,530.

France ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.4% (from 1,464,569 in 2016).
