In 2021, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 7.1% compared to 2020, reaching 288,987.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.0% (from 375,396 in 2016).
