Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2011, Spain's population change decreased by 2.9% compared to 2010, reaching 10.1.

The figure is in line with the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Spain ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.5% (from 10.8 in 2006).
