In 1998, Spain's employment rates by educational attainment level increased by 1.3% compared to 1997, reaching 77.1%.

Spain ranks 20th out of 20 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.9% (from 76.4% in 1993).
