In 1999, Spain's employment rates by educational attainment level increased by 1.8% compared to 1998, reaching 78.5%.

Spain ranks 24th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.7% (from 75.0% in 1994).
