In 2024, Spain's persons aged 25-64 with at least upper secondary educational attainment level by sex increased by 1.1% compared to 2023, reaching 64.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 80.5%.

Spain ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.9% (from 61.3% in 2019).
