In 2012, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.1% compared to 2011, reaching 17.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.0%.
Sweden ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 47.5% (from 12.0% in 2007).
