In 2011, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.7% compared to 2010, reaching 17.9%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.1%.
Sweden ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.3% (from 15.0% in 2006).
