Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, Sweden's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 0.4% compared to 2024, reaching 74.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 66.6%.

Sweden ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.9% (from 73.5% in 2020).
